I was FINALLY able to watch the new Evangelion 3.0 movie recently! I found it online with english subtitles & semi good quality. If you haven't seen the new movie I suggest not reading the rest of the paragraph.. I'm kinda heartbroken with what happened to Rei, I wonder if she is completely gone or if they are gonna magically uncover her in EVA Unit #1. Poor Shinji, he said it himself, the Rei that is shown in the movie is a fake. Don't continue this paragraph if you don't want manga spoilers~ Even in the most recent manga chapters, chapters 93&94, it is said that Rei is gone. She disappears, says that she'll now be apart of everything & watch Shinji that way, etc, etc. UMMMMM holy crap that is hella sad. I really hope the manga & movie don't end up being like that, I want Rei to live with Shinji! lol heh

Been watching so much anime lately that it is probably bad for my health. AND live action adaptions, oh man I love those! I've watched the live action versions of Bokura ga Ita, Kimi ni Todoke, Boys Over Flowers, Rurouni Kenshin, Itazura na Kiss, & Nodame Cantabile~ I've totally got a thing for Japanese guys now o.o x3

Wahhhh this is probably the quickest I've ever posted a post-con journal. Just went to Anime Matsuri for the 3rd year in a row over Easter weekend~ I had a fun time although I didn't feel well for some time on Friday night & on Saturday night Tim didn't feel good. That was a bummer but there were definitely highlights throughout the whole weekend c:

My friend Michael cosplayed as the black Power Ranger~ in spandex o.o sooo that was mighty funny ^.^

I cosplayed as Genkai on Friday but I didn't get any photos heh. I was suppose to sing in the AM Idol competition but I started feeling sick right around singing time so I decided to rest in the hotel room for a few hours instead XXXXXXXXXXX

Saturday morning I wore Tachibana Mei from Say "I Love You" - Gotta photo with Goku LOL OKAY okayyyyy~ I look ultra manly in this photo & my cheeks look super huge but OHH WELLSS I think it looks funny



Saturday afternoon I changed into Chihiro from Spirited Away. I saw a really good No Face cosplayer only once but I was on my way somewhere & never got a picture with them~ really sad
I saw this super cute Professor Chaos cosplayer, someone wanted a photo of us together so I had Tim snap a photo of us too. She was really nice & gave me a hug x3



On Sunday we stayed until about 3:00pm & I wore Chihiro again. Before leaving I met up with Michael Shum for a photoshoot [link] Really glad I could meet him, I've marveled at his photography for sooo long ^///^

Random highlights:
Hanging out with Michael & Kyla (coworkers) at the con & our awesome random shenanigans on Friday
Tim & Michael high fiving as many con goers as possible
All the junk food but I was mostly careful to not overindulge.. mostly heh lol
Seeing someone climb the stairs ninja park core style!!~ he ONLY used the guard rails & just climbed through the center up each flight o.o it was amazingly dangerous.
Einstein Bros. Bagels open 24 hours in the hotel lobby downstairs, never ran out of food/drinks~ freakin wonderful!
I saw more friends than I was expecting but still didn't get to see a few folks I was hoping too~ oh well next con c:

I've been thinking about my next cosplay & I'm reallyyyyyy torn between Leela from Futurama & Nanami from Kamisama Hajimemashita. Nanami is another simple school girl cosplay:



I dunno though because I totally adore Kamisama Hajimemashita but to not have a Tomoe (the fox guy) to cosplay with kinda sucks :c Sooo I'll probably just end up making Leela, or what I've done in the past: start watching a new anime & unconsciously start planning it/researching for a cosplay from it & then somehow I end up buying supplies o.0 this has how a few cosplays started hah.

On Friday at the con I'm gonna be singing in AM idol lol. It's the singing competitions conventions hold ya know? Quick recap: Went to Oni-con in October but never posted a journal about it so here ya go~
Oni-con is a small sized convention right on the beach! Friday I wore my Kaoru cosplay & my friend Michael cosplayed Sanosuke from Rurouni Kenshin. It was the first time I've ever had a friend to cosplay with all day at a con so it was a really fun experience c: Went to Nobuo Uematsu's concert that night, his band The Earthbound Papas performed. MAN that was an epic performance, I knew I wanna gonna enjoy it but I didn't expect to like it as much as I did!
Saturday I cosplayed Genkai from Yu Yu Hakusho~ I loved how many people were so happy to see a cosplay from an older anime. Tim, Michael & I attended the 18+ Voice Actor Improve panel that night, it was really hilarious Gotta go to one of those again~ Even later that night we overheard some of Michael's friends say they were going to Hentai fest, I explained what it was to the guys, we decided to go and HAHAHAHAHa that stuff was so funny. People just yelling obscenities, then other people who really wanted to watch the movie got mad at the people yelling. Probably one of the funniest moments the whole weekend.
Overall it was a really laid back, small con but I had sooo much fun. Really glad I didn't miss this con like last year.

For 2013 the next con I'm going to is Anime Matsuri this March~ almost 2 months! Right now I'm only working on 1 new cosplay~ the character is Tachibana Mei from the anime Suki-tte Ii na yo (Say "I Love You"). It is a really simple, school girl costume. I think the anime is super cute (I'm so gay lol) & it'll be a really comfy cosplay to wear.

After Anime Matsuri I'm not too sure what'll be next, my boyfriend & I are saving up money to get our own place so my attention (money) will be focused on (going towards) that.

Oh man it has been too long since I wrote a journal but I don't really know what to write about... I usually just end up rambling. I'll be going to Oni-Con in Galveston, Texas this weekend! XD Got a lot of fun things planned for this con, I'm really looking forward to seeing friends AND the con is right across the street from the beach! Oh heck ya. I've been working on 2 new cosplays for the con, one of which is young Genkai from Yu Yu Hakusho~

Whew, man am I super late on my A-kon convention 'report' lol. I blame AT&T once again for cable/internet problems

Tim & I drove to Dallas last Thursday to check into our hotel & get our badges early. After checking into our hotel we had to stand in the pre registration line for 2 hours to pick up our badges~ so that was a super fun time hah. Ran into that night & finally met in person, she was so sweet & funny ^^

Friday was really fun, Tim & I met up with friends from A-kon last year & hung out with them again. Spent most of Friday just running around, goofing off, watching AMVS (i AMVS) & asking random people for high fives lol. Only talked to once, she was super busy with CosPod stuff~ wish I could of hung out with her some more.

I also met a Nana while I was wearing my Lucy cosplay She was so sweet & adorable just like Nana.



I asked to take a photo with her & she kindly agreed. So her husband begins waving this super awesome nice camera around us & then I realize "OHHH he is filming us!" Epic fail on my part huh~ he was filming a cosplay music video. His account is under MyHackrifice on YouTube~ I'm so happy he included me in one of his A-kon videos

Saturday I wore my new Kamiya Kaoru cosplay from Rurouni Kenshin. It has been a dream cosplay of mine for awhile now, Kenshin is probably my most favorite anime next to Naruto.
I go off into a ramble here, feel free to skip:
I've heard that a lot of Rurouni Kenshin fans don't like Kaoru's character~ I enjoy her fiery personality even if she is a loudmouth, I love that about her~ she reminds me of myself in some ways. I sewed the costume myself & I styled the wig. I think the top came out good but I'm not to satisfied with how the hakama pants turned out. I wanted to make this costume myself & not buy the clothes so maybe I'll remake the hakama pants someday soon. I know for sure I want to wear this cosplay again but I'd like to make improvements first. I'm also kinda unhappy with how the bangs on the wig turned out. Kaoru's bangs are so fluffy so I teased the bangs a lot & used hairspray but I think they could look better/fluffier! >.<

Okay ramble moment over! I had a photoshoot with Saturday morning. I had a good time shooting with Ed & he didn't seem to be bothered by my odd personality. Unfortunately, after the shoot I wanted to cry a river because I realized I forgot to put in my contacts for the photoshoot. I am still angry at myself, why have a cosplay checklist if I'm not going to use it?! There is my epic fail for Saturday

Even later that evening while walking through the skybridge I almost missed seeing I was like "Excuse meeeee! .... I know you.. online" LOL Tim & I talk to her & her husband for a bit~ they were so fun to talk to! It would of been nice to hang out with them again before the con ended.

I cosplayed as Princess Mononoke on Sunday but we were only at the con for about 4 hours before we had to leave early for the 4 hour drive home. Had the pleasure of meeting & we chatted for a little along with ~ 'twas good fun joking around with them

A-kon is so huge that I still didn't get to meet some cosplayers that I really wanted to meet but ya know, even if I had had the chance I'm usually to shy to just go up & introduce myself. I've discovered that is a real problem for me at cons~ talking to people I admire lol. Didn't get to do any con things I had planned but I still had an awesome trip. Not sure what convention I'll go to next or what my next cosplay might be. I need to save up money to afford those things at the moment lol. On another note, I made a cosplay Facebook page. Just wanted to recap Anime Matsuri which was a ton of fun. I was exhausted when I got up for work Monday morning, I was a zombie the whole day. Thankfully I've got today off!

was kind enough to do 2 different photo shoots with me during the weekend. Friday morning we did a Lucy from Elfen Lied photo shoot and Saturday we had a Killua photo shoot.

Also wore San from Princess Mononoke on Friday and took some photos with who does a brilliant Lady Eboshi cosplay. Hopefully next time we can get a professional photographer to take some pics instead of my boyfriend lol We got to hang out for awhile during the con~ what a kind lady, it was good fun getting to know her ^^



Ran into & for short lil moments lol. Finally got to see their Claymore cosplays and they were even more epic in person.



I wanted to touch their armor so badly lol But did let me hold her Claymore!~ which was extra freakin heavy. A photographer asked for a picture of me holding it, to bad I thought the idea of this was funny and my smile looks extra girly



I entered my San cosplay into the Hall Cosplay contest and won for Best Novice. Got to go on stage before the Cosplay Contest results were announced to accept the certificate. is to the right of me as she won Best Advanced Cosplay yay There is a video here: [link] of me looking like a boob as I go on stage lol



Found a Kuroro to get a picture with. Later that night we got pictures with as Kurapika and her friend as Leorio. To bad I don't have any photos of that.. but she is suppose to send me her pictures soon.



Saturday night I attended most of the Rocky Horror Picture Show panel/showing, it was really great but it didn't start until 12:30am & by 2:00am I wanted to go to sleep. Went to a Voice Actors All Out panel for the first time which was really entertaining, I wanna go to the 18+ one at A-kon if they have one.



So yeshh, had butt loads of fun at AM12. Looking forward to going to A-kon next this June~ really hoping I can pull off a new cosplay by then! I was thinking of cosplaying someone from Rurouni Kenshin I'll post pics from the photo shoots this weekend as soon as I get em~ take care all!

i got a new job & today is the first real day. forgive me costumers i have a feeling i will be apologizing all day "i'm sorry today is my first day and i'm not to sure about that. i will find the answer to your question as soon as i can." ahhhh

i just finished the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion & i really enjoyed it. i'm really confused as to why the manga writer when on hiatus or whatever for over a year.. oh well since the series is over i started reading the manga. i want to watch rurouni kenshin next, i wish i could find it in japanese.

I really hope to make it to San Japan in July.
I've got a second interview on Monday for a job as a receptionist and I really hope I get it. I've been looking for a job for what seems like forever now and I need some money!

I've figured out the next 2 cosplays I'd like to make but I can't get started until I've got the money to fund it. I'm definitely going to cosplay as Bulma from Dragonball Z, I just don't know which saga to go with. Maybe a costume from the Android saga or the end of the Buu saga, like the last episode haha.

I've still gotta finish up my Scientology paper for Cultural Anthropology on top of everything else. Oh well, whats that saying.. God never gives you more than you can handle? mmm it's something like that

Now to go play some ping pong!
